Bobby
Paltauf is a 13 year old Blues/Rock guitarist and singer. His
influences are The Allman Brothers Band, Duane Allman, Warren Haynes,
Derek Trucks, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov't Mule, SRV, Jimi Hendrix,
Anders Osborne, The Three Kings: BB, Albert, & Freddie, Robert
Johnson, Son House, Elmore James, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Herring, Eric
Clapton, Traffic, and many others. Bobby has been playing guitar since
the age of 7. His dad started him out but he is self-taught. He then
started a band with kids in his school. They played at around CT and
even won the 2nd Annual Ridgefield Playhouse Bandjam. Bobby then
started a new band with older musicians. It includes Barry Urich on
Drums, Gene Leone Jr. on Bass, and Steve Detroy on Keys/Organ. They
have played all over the tri-state area at venues including the
Ridgefield Playhouse, Brooklyn Bowl, Fairfield Theatre Company, Quick
Center for the Arts, BB Kings Blues Club: Memphis & NYC, The Falcon,
The Bitter End, The Blu Parrot, and many others. They have opened up
for America, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Matt Schofield, Popa Chubby,
Joe Louis Walker, Anders Osborne, Big Sams Funky Nation, and many
others. Bobby has played with artists such as Buddy Guy, Anders Osborne
(Brooklyn Bowl & Blues, Views, & BBQ Fest), Lucky Peterson, Joe
Louis Walker, Andy Aledort, America, Dumpstaphunk, etc. They have
played festivals such as the 19th Annual Pleasure Seafood, Blues, &
Jazz Festival in Kure Beach, North Carolina with Gregg Allman and
Jaimoes Jassz Band, The Westport Blues, Views, & BBQ Festival with
Anders Osborne, Big Sams Funky Nation, Popa Chubby, Lucky Peterson, etc.
Earth Vibes Music Festival, Wallypalooza, etc. In March 2012 Bobby
went to Cove City Sound Studios in Long Island, NY, to record his EP
Lets Go For A Ride. It featured Richie Cannata who plays Saxophone with
Billy Joel. The three songs on the EP were all original songs. Bobby
went to down Memphis, TN in January 2013 for the International Blues
Challenge Youth Showcase. In Memphis he played at almost every venue up
and down Beale Street including Rum Boogie Cafe, BB KIngs Blues Club,
Blues City Cafe with FreeWorld, Club 152, Dancin Jimmy's, Pepsi-Cola
Pavillion, and many others. Bobby is headed back to Memphis, TN in
April 2013 to record his first full album at Willie Mitchell's Royal
Recording Studios.
